Always a sucker for the latest beauty trend; over the last few months, I have been trialling and testing a selection of loose setting powders, including one from Pixi Beauty and the renowned translucent powder from Laura Mercier.
As I’ve already told you guys how much I love the Pixi Beauty Setting Powder, today I thought I’d talk about the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder – a product which I’d heard SO much about among the beauty blogger community.
If I was to compare the two against each other, I would definitely recommend them for two different purposes.
Anyone searching for a powder which leaves a strong, pale and defined contour through applying product directly to the face with a damp beauty blender will instantly fall in love with the Pixi Beauty Setting Powder.
In comparison, the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder does NOT create the classic Kim Kardashian contour; it’s actually a great all-over powder which manages to combat creasing more than your everyday powder… and I’m really fond of it.
Granted, I initially purchased it with the intention of defining my cheek contour and under-eyes (I think the shade ‘Invisible’ would probably provide this impact), but since using it as an all-over powder with a fluffy brush, I have noticed how much longer my base makeup stays in place.
So while it might not be a go-to for ‘baking’, it’s definitely a product you want in your life if you need to go from 7am-9pm without creasing.
All be it, the Β£29 price-tag is a little steep… but what’s the price of banishing those laughter and frown lines throughout the day?!
