❄️ ICE QUEEN: BLUE LIPSTICK REVIEW ❄️
I’m going to be honest with you guys and let you know that initially, the only reason I purchased the Urban Decay UV-B Vintage Vice Lipstick was because it was discounted so dramatically in the UK.
I literally got it for less than £5 (RRP £15.50).
Now, of course, I did a little bit of internet research before I purchased it (although the in-depth YouTube reviews were few and far between) and I really wanted to experiment with a vibrant blue lipstick, so it was perfect timing.
The only downside is that the entire lipstick range is now out of stock on their website (I guess they’re discontinuing the line) but you can still purchase from some online UK retailers, including FeelUnique, for a stupidly affordable price.
It’s definitely blue, but there are hints of purple throughout – it’s quite literally a UV mixture of the two.
Extremely nourishing and buildable, the formulation itself is quite subtle (ha) when you begin to apply it, which means it takes a little while to create the coverage shown on the left.
However, after a little persistence, the lips are covered in an intergalactic shade which maintains it’s shine. This is due to the fact that it is, in essence, a ‘traditional’ bullet lipstick – something I use less and less frequently these days, but I’ll make an exception for this beauty.
Surprisingly, one full application of the lipstick lasted a few hours and didn’t shift as much as I anticipated when eating and drinking.
Considering it’s such a bold shade (and not a liquid matte), I would have put money on the fact that it would disappear as soon as I left the house… but I was pleasantly surprised.
Would I repurchase from the collection?
Well, if it doesn’t get discontinued and if I open my purse to not be greeted by moths… then definitely. I would love to try some alternative shades (I’m hoping they all provide this gorgeous two-tone finish).
