4 REASONS TO INVEST IN VITAMIN E SKINCARE

Superdrug Vitamin E Skincare

And when I say ‘invest’, it could cost you as little as £3 per product if you’re based in the UK…

I only stumbled upon the Superdrug Vitamin E Skincare range by chance and in all honesty, I don’t think I would have given an own-brand mist the time of day had I not seen a recommendation online.

I think I was watching a YouTube video by Belle Jorden (or perhaps an Instagram story) where she discussed the mist, claiming that it was a little like Mac Mist n Fix and how impressed she was.

The bonus is, I’m gradually trying to make my entire makeup/skincare collection cruelty-free and this entire range is 100% cruelty-free, vegetarian and vegan-friendly.

It’s also super effective.

I’ve only tried the Hydrating Mist (which I believe has been rebranded as a Toner Mist now) and the Night Cream, but I’m already seeing the moisturising properties of both skin treats taking place. Good work Superdrug!

So, the reason you actually clicked onto this blog, besides a mini product review… why is Vitamin E skincare so important?

1. The obvious one – Vitamin E is super hydrating

Making it the perfect choice for both normal and dry skin that requires a hydrating boost. Vitamin E based products help to maintain moisture within the skin cells and prevent ‘water-loss’.

2. Which leads nicely onto the second, surprising benefit… sun defence.

NO. Don’t think I’m telling you to ditch the sun cream for a vitamin based product, just rest assured that if you’re planning to sit in the sun, applying a Vitamin E based product alongside your sun cream will help to protect the cell membranes. As a result, this will dramatically reduce the signs of ageing caused by too much UV radiation (e.g. wrinkles).

3. It’ll help maintain your skin’s natural collagen

And subsequently, keep your complexion looking youthful for longer. The skin already maintains a level of vitamin e, but factors like sun damage, pollution and environmental damage can play havoc on this balance. By recharging the complexion with a boost of Vitamin E, you’re helping to keep the collagen naturally stimulating. Say goodbye to unwanted lines, creases and wrinkles.

4. Vitamin E is a leading anti-oxidant.

But as we all know, this type of product can sometimes increase the amount of breakouts we suffer, dependant on the primary skin concern. My skin would be classed as combination/prone to blemishes and the good news is, I haven’t experienced any issues while combining the Superdrug Vitamin E Mist and Night Cream.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this duo. I can’t wait to try more products from the range, especially considering how cost effective every item is!

  1. Great post! I’m so happy I stumbled upon it because I’m a big believer in using vitamin E oil for your face, and I even wrote a blog post about my skincare routine where I talk about how I apply the oil to my face, so I am SO happy to learn that there is a product specifically made for this purpose. I will definitely be purchasing these products in the future.

  2. Thanks for the info! I’ll make sure to get myself a vitamin C face cream. Hopefully there’s other good brands with it since I don’t live in the UK.

Would love it if you would check out my blog aestheticvogue.com 💖🌸✨

  3. I have the Vitamin E mist too! I actually spray it on my face over my makeup as a sort of moisturising setting spray. It makes my makeup look more like skin if that makes sense. xx

  4. I have the tub of moisturiser which I use at the end of my cleansing/ toning routine and night and have really noticed a difference and improvement in my oily-prone skin from adding this to my routine! I hope it continues to work nicely for you 🙂 x

  5. I’m so glad that word is getting around about this range because it’s not only budget friendly, but really good! I’ve only tried the eye cream, serum and day cream which I liked especially the moisturiser (really great as a primer base even). Will have to try that mist out soon, and I’ve also heard the hot cloth cleanser is great too!
