I’m sorry I’ve been absent for so long (blame the bank holiday weekend/my birthday) but the good news is, I’ve photographed so many looks and tested so many products which I will be sharing with all of you in due course!
NYX Coraline High Definition Blusher
The NYX Coraline High Definition Blush is absolutely gorgeous. It can be applied as heavily or as gently as you like for either a subtle or bold look.
As I had work, I chose to apply the blusher and then dust with a coating of Mac powder, for a soft finish. In reality, the raw powder applied to the cheek delivers a strong, orange pigment – the perfect finishing touch to any statement look.
I’ll be sure to take a photograph and share with you guys when I use the power alone next!
So which other products did I use to create this look?
Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour ‘102 Fantasy’ Eyeshadow + Maybelline Color Drama ‘520 Red-Dy or Not’ Lip Paint
As you guys are already aware, the Maybelline UK team sent me a trunk of goodies.
Within this trunk, were two shades of the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Cream Eyeshadow and a selection of 5-6 Color Drama Lip Paints.
I used the Color Tattoo eyeshadow in shade ‘102 Fantasy’ to create the look above, finished off with the Color Drama Lip Paint in 520 Red-Dy or Not.
The results? The eyeshadow looks beautiful when first applied but does wear throughout the day. More specifically, if you’re wearing liquid eyeliner along the upper lash line, this may imprint the crease – especially if you have slightly hooded eyes, like myself. The lasting finish and result is a sparkly, metallic lid colour, easily applied using fingers but no so much with a brush.
The lip paint, well I’m sure I’ve already praised this product to you guys but I’m obsessed with the initial application. It looks gorgeous and the lips NEVER dry out. However, nourishing as it might be, you’re going to need to apply multiple times throughout the day to maintain the vibrant finish… especially with this standout shade.
