Defining Happiness

What makes you happy in life? Is it the way your partner wakes you up in the morning, is it socialising or being surrounded by positive people? Is it the fact that you love your job – a rare thing to do in 2015 it seems.

One thing should be set straight – no one should depend on one thing to make them happy. Branching out and looking beyond the things that make you happy can often make you realise how miserable you would be without that one thing.

The most important thing to ask yourself is ‘what changes can I make to fulfil every aspect of my life’? Whether it’s changing something about your appearance to gain that bit of confidence you’ve been lacking, adopting a more positive attitude towards life, seeing the world, discovering a job that you absolutely love… we are guilty of neglecting ourselves, finding one happy place and not moving outside of that little bubble of comfort.

A positive approach towards life, a can-do attitude, socialising with people who make you happy and setting ambitions and motivations that drive you towards your dream job, are just a few changes that can severely impact your happiness on a day-to-day basis.

Yes, we all have to work up the job ladder, from the bottom to the top – who said Rome was built in a day! It’s understandable that these changes won’t happen overnight, but with time, patience and a little drive to do and be better, they are definitely achievable life objectives.

Do something different- site see, take a break, work harder, find love. Whatever it is you need to do, do something for yourself. After all, a number of things contribute towards our overall happiness.
